Advisors

Once enrolled, each student is assigned an Academic Advisor, an experienced administrator with deep knowledge of both learning differences and TSS.

The Advisor acts as a resource to the student throughout their tenure at the school, helping the child develop self-advocacy skills. Students will be assigned to an Advisor appropriate to their age and grade level when enrolled into the program. Lower School students will transition advisors when they move up to Upper School and grow within the program.

The Advisor is responsible for overseeing the academic, social and emotional growth, and well-being of each student. They are also the main point person for parents and teachers—the cornerstone of the communication cycle.

The advantages of this approach are proven.

The Academic Advisor is:

  • Another professional who is watching out for your student
  • Available by phone, email, and for meetings, more than classroom teachers
  • A constant presence for your student at school
